If we only knew which asset color (class) would be at the top of next year’s column! No one does, and it’s too much of a gamble to bet your next egg on just one or two colors. Keeping your investment portfolio colorful (with several asset classes) is prudent, wise and important in order to smooth out the waves of volatility that can harm your portfolio. It also can lessen stress and anxiety. Don’t drift with the wind, instead, anchor your portfolio with proper allocation, diversification, and rebalancing.
